This Amarone is one of Zonin’s  finest wines. Made in the classic Amarone manner, this rich, smooth, impeccably balanced wine is an excellent choice for rich slow-cooked meat dishes. It will also work very well with mature, hard cheeses. Amarone from a good year and producer, such as this, also has very good ageing potential. Generally approachable upon release, this style really hits a good plateau at the 5-7 year mark and can stay there for up to 15 years.

Vinification and aging
he grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified with great care by the traditional method of fermentation on the skins to enhance the strong personality afforded by the territory of Radda in Chianti. After malolactic fermentation is maturing in oak casks for 12 months.

Harmonious, dry, well structured and velvet cloth-tion.

Perfume
Complex and light at the same time. Rich spices, blackberry and plum, coffee and amarasca.

Flavor
Precise structure of good and solid, with good returns aftertaste of cherries with sweet almond finish. Persistent.

Vinification and aging
Both varieties vinified separately, the fermentation lasts three weeks at a temperature of 26 ? - 30 ? C. The wine ages for 12 months, 70% barrels of 350 liters and 30% in oak casks of 60 hl, followed by a further period of aging in bottle.
